Why you’ll love it
A beautiful Solitaire Ring with an untreated 6.11 CT Heliodore.
The gemstone is cut from the raw material that one of our team members personally bought on site in Nigeria's beautiful and peaceful Oyo region in February 2018. Cut by one of our talented gemstone cutters in Sri Lanka. The cutting mill has received several awards, including Best Gem Cutter of the Year, at the annual Jewels Fair in Sri Lanka.
About the Heliodore:
Heliodore is a gemstone from the same mineral family as Aquamarine and Morganite - it is said to be "the yellow sister" of Aquamarine.
The hardness of Helidore, Aquamarine and Morganite is 7,5-8 on Moh's scale of hardness. Hence it's a very durable stone.
About the colour:
Heliodores with such a light, natural citrus yellow color as this one are rarer than aquamarines, hence more expensive.
About the cut:
The cut is special. The bottom is step cut (same type as in asscher cut and emerald cut). It gives the gemstone an elegant touch and more of the sharp lines that inspired the Art Deco design.
